Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon Original (70cl, 46.5%)

Blanton's Original is a single barrel bourbon bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in virgin white oak and drawn from the centre-cut sections of Warehouse H. Every barrel is tasted by a panel of five tasters, who must agree unanimously on its quality. Each bottle is filled by hand, with the bottling date, barrel number and warehouse location written on it by hand. The bourbon was once set aside for ambassadors, dignitaries and Colonel Blanton's family and friends. The nose is spicy, with dried citrus, orange peel, caramel and vanilla. The palate is full and soft, with burnt sugar, caramel, orange and cloves, and the finish is balanced with vanilla, honey and citrus.
