This is a 30 year old Scottish blended grain whisky from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, bottled at 45.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It brings together whisky from refill ex-bourbon hogsheads and ex-sherry octaves, made up in a small batch of around 1,000 litres. It is bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.
The nose offers honeycomb, red grapes and buttery shortbread, with waxy orange peel, polished oak and a light floral note. The palate is dense and full, with butterscotch, fresh-baked biscuits and soft chocolate. The finish is long, soft and silky, with cedar and a hint of white pepper.
