Boann – Single Pot Still PX Cask (70cl, 47%)

Boann Single Pot Still PX Cask is an Irish single pot still whiskey, bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. The distillate comes from a mixed mash bill of malted barley, unmalted barley, oats and rye, all of it Irish grown locally. It was matured first in Oloroso sherry hogsheads from Bodegas Garvey's, then finished in Pedro Ximénez butts of 500 litres or more from Malaga. Those butts spent over 60 years in a vintage PX solera system, and a portion of them are made entirely from chestnut. The label design draws on the wood and grain of the cask.
