This is a six-year-old triple distilled single malt Irish whiskey from the Boann distillery, part of the Whistler range, bottled at 59.55% ABV.
It spent its whole maturation in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt from Jerez, which gave it plenty of colour. It is bottled without chill-filtration and without added colouring.
The nose is led by sherry and dried fruits, with the dusty note typical of Oloroso casks. The palate brings oak, walnuts, chocolate and dried fruits. The finish is warm and long, with chocolate, wood, dried fruits and raisins.
