The Whistler Bodega Cask is a single malt Irish whiskey made from malted barley at Boann Distillery in County Meath. It is triple distilled and matured entirely in oloroso sherry casks sourced from Spanish bodegas. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
The focus is on sherry richness rather than smoke, as the whiskey is not heavily peated.
The nose shows raisins, figs, toasted almonds, dark caramel and baking spice. The palate has rich dried fruit, honeyed malt, cinnamon, roasted nuts and silky oak. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sherry sweetness and gentle spice.
