Bollinger La Grande Année 2018 Brut Champagne (75cl)

This is a vintage Champagne from Bollinger, in a 75cl bottle. La Grande Année 2018 blends 19 crus, with 66% Pinot Noir from Verzenay, Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and 34% Chardonnay from Chouilly and Cuis. Fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels, and the wine matures under cork for more than twice as long as the appellation rules require. The dosage is moderate, at 6 grams per litre. The nose opens with fresh citrus, Granny Smith apple, white peach, apricot and mirabelle plum, then almond, breadcrumbs and acacia honey. The palate is structured and balanced, with stewed fruit and quince and a creamy mousse.
