Booker's 7 Year Old is a barrel-strength Kentucky bourbon, first released in the late 1980s by Booker Noe, grandson of Jim Beam. He took his casks from the centre of the rackhouse, where temperature and humidity stay steady.
Batch 2024-01E is the first batch of 2024 and is called the Springfield Batch, after his Kentucky hometown. It combines whiskey from five production dates held in four ageing warehouses, bottled uncut and only lightly filtered at 62.2%.
The nose offers sweet vanilla, caramel and toasted oak. The palate is rich, with charred oak, brown sugar and a little citrus, and the finish is long and warming with oak and spice.
