The character is full-bodied, with a warm, spicy and rich mouthfeel.
The nose is usually described as caramel and vanilla with grassy notes. On the palate come caramel, vanilla toffee and butterscotch, with a hint of the grassiness typical of rye. The finish is long, sweet and lingering.
