Botanika Angelica Amaro Liqueur (75cl, 40%)

Botanika Angelica Amaro Liqueur is an artisanal American amaro-style herbal liqueur. It is made in small batches from a base of Chopin Rye Vodka infused with 16 locally sourced herbs and spices, each macerated separately for about eight weeks. After blending, the spirit is married with artesian well water and rested in 50-year-old Polish oak vats for one year before bottling, a process spanning more than 18 months. It contains no artificial flavours or preservatives. Bottled at about 40% ABV. The nose is herbal and bright with anise, cinnamon, thyme, rosemary and hints of lavender over earthy botanicals. The palate is dry and herbaceous with gentian root bitterness, cinnamon and nutmeg warmth, anise and black peppercorn spice. The finish is long and lingering with complex herbal echoes.
