Bowman Brothers Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Bowman Brothers Small Batch is a Virginia straight bourbon from the A. Smith Bowman Distillery in Fredericksburg, bottled at 45% in a 750ml bottle. It is triple-distilled in copper, with the final run made through a copper still named Mary. The name honours the Bowman brothers, early pioneers who helped settle the Shenandoah Valley and parts of Kentucky. The bourbon is aged in new charred American oak, and a limited selection of barrels is married for each small batch. Caramelised apple and toasted nuts come through on the nose. The palate offers vanilla, toffee, light caramel and gentle rye spice, followed by a mellow, slightly dry finish with warm spice and sweet corn.
