Bowmore 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It sits at the centre of the Bowmore range and pairs gentle peat with coastal character and a floral side.
The nose opens with coastal smoke and ash, then bergamot, orange zest, lemon and hay, turning floral as heather smoke comes through. The palate is rounded and honeyed at first, with vanilla, perfumed smoke, dark peat, blossom and an oily sweetness. The finish is smoky and long, with sea spray, dry grass, a touch of ash and citrus.
