Bowmore 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt from what is described as the island's oldest distillery, in a 35cl bottle.
Maritime peat smoke sits alongside citrus and honey on the nose. The palate offers dark chocolate and cocoa, followed by a burst of lemon, and the finish is gentle and smoky. It can be taken neat or with a drop of water, which is said to bring out floral notes.
