A single cask Bowmore from Islay, bottled by Milroys as part of its Vintage Reserve range. It was distilled in 2004 and spent 22 years in a refill bourbon barrel, cask number 20, before bottling in 2026 at 52.3%. The cask gave 269 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
On the nose, pineapple and a little vanilla meet maritime notes, with fine tobacco smoke. The palate brings sweet, juicy pineapple beside salty minerality, with mild spice and light smoke. In the finish the fruit fades and the dry side gains weight, leaving tobacco smoke, mineral notes and some pepper.
