Bowmore 23 Years is a single malt scotch matured for 23 years in port casks. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 50.8% ABV.
The nose opens with smoke, with a complex background of warm stewed plums and oranges. On the palate the peat builds slowly in the mouth, yet the whisky stays balanced and does not overpower the fruit. The finish is dry and stays for a while.
