Bowmore Vault Edition No.1 is a special release from Warehouse No.1, a warehouse that lies below sea level. It is the first of a four-part series exploring the depths and layers of the warehouse and its effect on the whisky. This edition focuses on the flavour and aroma of Atlantic sea salt.
The whisky is golden in colour. The nose offers sun-dried fruit, blood orange and blackberry, balanced by honey, cacao and a returning pinch of sea salt. The palate is fruity with a spicy character and a clear sea salt influence.
