Braes of Glenlivet 1990 Vintage Edition - Secret Speyside (70cl)

This is a 1990 vintage single malt from Braes of Glenlivet, bottled in a 70cl bottle at cask strength and without chill-filtration. It was matured in first fill American oak barrels. The whisky comes from Braeval distillery in Banffshire, Speyside, which sits at 356m above sea level and is run by a lone distiller. Its tall stills are said to capture delicate flavours and give the spirit its tropical fruit character. The nose is sweet, with apricot, coconut and apple crumble. On the palate come pineapple, peach and whipped cream, with a note of crystallised ginger. The finish is sweet and creamy.
