Braeval – 26 Year Old Secret Speyside (70cl)

This is a 26 year old single malt from Braeval distillery in Speyside, bottled at cask strength without chill-filtration in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in first-fill American oak barrels. Braeval sits among the hills of Banffshire at 356m above sea level, making it one of the highest distilleries in Speyside. It is run by a single distiller, and its unusually tall stills are said to capture only the most delicate flavours. The nose is very sweet, with mango, coconut and peach. On the palate, ripe peach comes with warm apple pie and orange zest, leading to a long, sweet, juicy finish.
