This is a Speyside single malt from Braes of Glenlivet, distilled in 1994 and bottled at 22 years old by Maltbarn for its Cask Bourbon Series. It matured in a bourbon cask, number 53, and is bottled at 51.7% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is sweet and candied, with cotton candy, bubblegum, pears, brown sugar and vanilla syrup, then honey and traces of minty oak and liquorice. On the palate it is sweet, malty and fruity, with peaches, banana and lime, vanilla fudge, fruit cake, marzipan and cinnamon pastry. The finish is long, with vanilla, fruit syrup, creamy oak, spice and a little chocolate.
