Brana Eau de Vie de Poire William 'Les Cristallines'

This is a French pear eau de vie from the Brana house in the Basque Country, made from carefully selected Williams pears. The fruit is picked when ripe, then fermented and distilled with the aim of keeping the freshness and aromatic intensity of the pear. On the nose it is clean and pure, with ripe, juicy pear and a light floral note. The palate opens soft and precise, with fresh pear and a silky texture, and the finish is long, with pear lingering. It is best served cool but not iced, as a digestif or alongside fruit desserts.
