Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2026 by Adelphi, this is a 15 year old Speyside single malt that matured entirely in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt. It was filled into 711 bottles at 58.1%.
The character is powerful and unusual, mixing smoky, salty and chocolatey notes. The nose runs from wet dog, old rum and oxtail soup to maple bacon, sauna wood and chocolate raisins. On the palate come raisins, walnuts, bitter dark chocolate, smoked beef brisket, barbecue meat and black cherry. The finish is long and well balanced.
