Brora 26 Year Old is a single cask Highland single malt, distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2008 by Dun Bheagan, William Maxwell & Co Ltd. It was matured in a sherry butt, cask 1526, and is one of 684 bottles at 46% ABV, in a 70cl bottle with its original carton.
Brora was built in 1819 by the Marquess of Stafford and closed in 1983. It reopened in 2021 after a restoration. Between May 1969 and July 1973 it made a heavily peated whisky for blending, and most of what it produced after 1973 is in the lightly peated Highland style.
