A 32-year-old single cask Brora from Lombard's Jewels of Scotland range, in a 70cl bottle. It is one of 69 bottles from the cask, and the Highland distillery has since closed for good.
The whisky was distilled on 13 May 1982, ten months before the distillery shut, and bottled on 28 July 2014. It has a coastal character with peat, pepper and spice.
In the tasting notes, the nose is fragrant, light and smoky with coastal influences and cracked black pepper. The palate grows into a big, peppery whisky with brooding peat. The finish is long, with smoke, pine needle and spice.
