This is a 38-year-old Highland single malt from Brora, distilled in 1978 and released in 2016 as the 15th bottling in Diageo's annual Special Releases. It was bottled at 48.6% in a 70cl bottle, and 2984 bottles were drawn from old stocks. The whisky is described as a classic Brora, balancing fruit, smoke and a softly farmyard-tinged character. On the nose it offers warm peaches and yellow plums, oily notes, leather, hay, grilled pineapple and lightly smoked meat. The palate brings very light peat, a salty edge, candle wax, bitter almonds, old oak, liquorice and dark chocolate.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
