Brucato Oro y Fierro Kumquat Chili Liqueur (70cl, 40%)

Brucato Oro y Fierro is an amaro-style liqueur made in San Francisco by Brucato Spirits, bottled at 40% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is made with whole kumquats and chili peppers, set against a botanical character and a bitter backbone. The heat builds gradually rather than arriving all at once, and the liqueur finishes dry and bitter after a light citrus sweetness. It can be served chilled, over ice or in cocktails such as a Spicy Margarita or a Smoky Negroni. On the nose there is bright citrus zest, candied chili and herbal spice. The palate brings juicy kumquat and floral bitterness, with chili warmth rising, and the finish is long and warming.
