The Botanist is an Islay dry gin from Bruichladdich, in a 37.5cl bottle. Nine classic gin botanicals are joined by 22 local herbs and flowers, foraged by hand from the hills, shores and bogs of the island.
The nose is sweet, delicate menthol with apple mint, juniper, coriander with aniseed undertones, lemon and orange peel, and summer flowers, thistle honey and wild mint. The palate is rich and mellow, cool on entry and warming towards the back, with a fresh citrus lift.
