Buffalo Trace Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, in a 37.5cl bottle. It is made from a mash of corn, rye and malted barley and bottled at 90 proof.
The bourbon is aged in new, charred oak barrels. It is deep amber in colour, with a full-bodied, smooth mouthfeel.
The nose combines vanilla, mint and molasses with sweet caramel and gentle oak. On the palate it is rich and sweet, with brown sugar, spice, oak, toffee, dark fruit and anise. The finish is long and smooth, with oak, vanilla and subtle spice.
