Buffalo Trace – Bourbon Whiskey (70cl, 40%)

Buffalo Trace is the flagship bourbon of the distillery of the same name in Kentucky, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from corn, rye and malted barley and aged in new oak barrels in historic warehouses. Each batch is drawn from no more than 40 barrels, matured on the middle floors where temperature swings are greatest. The whiskey is deep amber. The nose is spicy and sweet, with caramel, toffee eclairs, cinnamon, rum spice and cereal sweetness. On the palate are brown sugar, toffee apple, sweet oak, custard, oily espresso beans, a touch of chocolate-covered raisins and toasty wood. The finish is long and smooth.
