Buffalo Trace is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 1 litre bottle. It is light bronze in colour with streaks of gold.
The nose is complex, with vanilla, mint and molasses. The palate is pleasantly sweet, with brown sugar and spice giving way to oak and leather, and the finish is long and dry with real depth. Adding water brings out toffee, dark fruit and anise.
