Bulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength Batch 2 Kentucky Straight Bourbon (75cl, 62.7%)

Bulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength Batch 2 is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled uncut at 62.7% (125.4 proof) and not chill filtered. Selected barrels were combined into a single batch with no water added afterwards. Released in 2017, it was the first Bulleit Barrel Strength bottling to show a batch number on the label. The mashbill is high rye, reported as 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley, and the whisky was aged and bottled at Stitzel Weller in Louisville, Kentucky. The colour is a medium to deep amber. The nose has gentle spice and sweet oak with butterscotch, honey and cinnamon. The palate is bold and full-bodied, with maple, nutmeg and toasted oak over caramel, toffee and peppery rye. The finish is long, dry and satiny.
