Bulleit Bourbon Frontier Whiskey is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill is 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley, a higher share of rye than most bourbons. It is made with Kentucky limestone filtered water and aged in new charred American oak barrels.
It pours a russet amber. The nose is rich oak with vanilla, caramel and light rye spice. The palate is mellow and smooth, with vanilla, honey, toffee and lively rye spice. The finish is long, dry and lightly smoky, with lingering oak and gentle pepper.
