An unpeated Islay single malt from Bunnahabhain, bottled at 46.3% without chill filtering or added colour. The name Stiùireadair is Gaelic for helmsman. It is drawn from first-fill sherry casks and refill sherry casks of differing ages.
On the nose it is described as sea salt and dried raisins, with caramelised sugar and soft vanilla. The palate is velvety, with roasted hazelnuts, almonds, liquid honey, cinnamon and clove over a salty note. The finish is long, with dark chocolate, sherry fruit and a touch of salt.
