Bunnahabhain – Stiùireadair (20cl, 46.3%)

Bunnahabhain Stiùireadair is an Islay single malt in a 200ml bottle, bottled at 46.3% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The name is Gaelic for 'helmsman'. The master blender chose first-fill and refill sherry casks from warehouses right on the shore, so the coastal setting meets a clear sherry influence. Bunnahabhain works mainly with unpeated malt, which puts fruit, sweetness and nuttiness forward alongside a light maritime note. The colour is a natural amber gold. On the nose, a gentle sea breeze meets dried raisins.
