Burrito Fiestero is a joven mezcal from Durango, made at Hacienda de San José Acevedo in San Nicolás from wild Maguey Cenizo, Agave durangensis. The plants are 12 years old, and the mezcal is double distilled in small copper pot stills alongside the agave fibres. It is bottled at 42% abv.
The brand plants one maguey Cenizo for every bottle produced.
The character is creamy, fruity, tropical and floral, with a light smokiness. Aromas such as melon, mango, cinnamon, chocolate and cheese appear from batch to batch.
