Bushmills 10 Year Old is a single malt Irish whiskey from the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is made from unpeated malted barley, triple-distilled in copper pot stills, with water drawn from Saint Columb's Rill, and bottled at 40% (80 proof).
The spirit matures for at least ten years, mostly in charred American oak ex-bourbon barrels, with a smaller share in seasoned Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is fresh and clean, with green apple, ripe pear and honeyed malt, plus vanilla blossom, toasted oak and a little milk chocolate. The palate is silky and light to medium in body, with orchard fruit, clover honey and vanilla custard. The finish is crisp, with dried apple and floral honey.
