A 14 year old single malt from Bushmills, triple distilled and bottled at 40%. It is first matured in first and second fill bourbon casks, then spends 12 months in Malaga wine casks.
That finishing gives the whiskey its ruby red colour and a taste of exotic summer fruits with warm, spicy wood.
The nose is sweet honey, vanilla and mandarin with warm spice. On the palate come mango, pineapple, apricot, ginger, cinnamon, milk chocolate, vanilla and warm caramel, then light oak and floral notes. The finish is long, with spice, intense vanilla, apricot and mandarin.
