Bushmills 16 Year Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt at 40% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is matured for 16 years in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then finished in port pipes.
The three woods give it a rich, smooth style with dark fruit aromas. It comes in a burgundy box.
The nose is dark cherries, figs, roasted nuts, soft sherry and vanilla. The palate brings rich chocolate, plums, raisins, toffee, roasted almonds and spice, with a creamy port sweetness. The finish is long and warm, with dark fruit, nuts, soft tannins and wood.
