Bushmills – Bourbon Cask Reserve The Steamship Collection (1L, 40%)

A triple distilled Irish whiskey from Bushmills, bottled at 40% in a one litre bottle. It belongs to the Steamship Collection, which recalls the SS Bushmills, the ship that carried the distillery's shipments to America in the 1890s. The casks are made from American white oak by a Louisville cooper, who has worked with Bushmills for many years and uses a char designed to the distillery's requirements. The nose has sweet vanilla, ripe pear, crème brûlée and toasted oak. The palate is fruity, mainly peach, with spice, vanilla and dried orange peel, the sweetness offset by bitter chocolate. The finish is slightly dry, oaky and long.
