This is a Highland single malt from Tullibardine Distillery, selected by Wm Cadenhead for its Original Collection and bottled independently at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled in 2010 and matured for 12 years. From April 2021 it was finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and it was bottled in June 2023. The finish adds caramelised biscuit, sweet cherry cola and soft nuttiness to a base of toffee, dark fruit, spice and citrus.
The nose brings fern cake, almond flakes, freshly roasted coffee beans and toffee sauce. The palate has flat cherry cola, red wine-poached pears and orange zest. The finish is nutmeg, caramelised biscuits, cinnamon and cloves, warm and gently sweet.
