Cadenhead's Burnside 28 Year Old Bourbon Casks (70cl, 46%)

Cadenhead's Burnside 28 Year Old is a blended malt from the Original Collection. Burnside is not a distillery: William Grant & Sons made the malt and added a small amount of a second malt to it, a style known as a teaspooned malt. The whisky was distilled in 1996, matured for 28 years in bourbon casks and bottled in May 2025 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose shows leather like old book bindings, honeysuckle, milk chocolate and gorse. The palate brings cassia bark, gooseberries, pear drops, rhubarb and papaya. The finish leaves liquorice, light sugar syrup and orange zest.
