Cadenhead's Laphroaig 10 Year Old (46%)

This is a 10 year old Laphroaig bottled by the independent bottler Cadenhead's for its Original Collection, which is made up of small batches from just a few casks. It matured in Bourbon casks and is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill-filtering or added colour. The nose opens with a fresh sea breeze, clear peat smoke, gooseberry and cooling menthol, then lemon and light vanilla with a little air. The palate has lime oil, grilled langoustine and crisp Bramley apple, with salt, medicinal peat and gentle vanilla. The finish is very long, with salt, lemon and eucalyptus, ending dry and salty with smoke and ash.
