Campbeltown Loch is a blended malt Scotch whisky made from malts of all five Campbeltown distilleries: Springbank, Longrow, Hazelburn, Glen Scotia and Glengyle. It was created by J&A Mitchell of Springbank Distillers and takes its name from the sea loch at Campbeltown.
The malts are five years old or more, matured in bourbon and sherry casks, and the whisky is bottled at 40% without chill-filtering.
The nose is coastal and peaty, with sweet florals, milk chocolate and seaweed. On the palate, sweet peat smoke meets ginger, toffee and rum and raisin, followed by a medium to long finish of peat smoke, oak, cloves and liquorice.
