Canadian Club Canadian Whisky (175cl, 40%)

Canadian Club Canadian Whisky is a blended Canadian whisky bottled at 40% in a 1.75 litre bottle. It is made at the Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery in Windsor, Ontario. Corn, rye, rye malt and barley malt are each mashed, fermented and distilled separately, then blended before being filled into white oak American bourbon barrels. Most Canadian whiskies are blended after maturation, so here the grains age together. The base whisky is reported to be aged around six years. The nose has buttery oak, caramel, almond and a hint of pepper. The palate is round and soft, with oak, taffy, baking spice and vanilla. The finish is clean and dry, with oak and dried fruit.
