JP Wiser's 15 Year Old Canadian Whisky (75cl, 40%)

JP Wiser's 15 Year Old is a blended Canadian whisky from Hiram Walker & Sons in Windsor, Ontario, bottled at 40% ABV. The brand was founded by John Philip Wiser in 1857, and this blend was created by Master Blender Dr Don Livermore. It combines double-distilled corn whisky with column-distilled rye, each aged at least 15 years. The corn whisky was matured in new white oak, once-used bourbon casks and used Canadian whisky casks. Tasting notes describe caramel, toffee and banana bread on the nose, with spicy oak and maple sugars. The palate opens with caramel and toffee before clove rye spice and a peppery snap, and the finish has pleasantly bitter fruit rinds.
