Canadian Club is a blended Canadian whisky from the Hiram Walker distillery in Windsor, Ontario, in a 750ml bottle at 40% ABV.
The mashbill is rye, rye malt, barley malt and corn, with each grain distilled separately. The grain spirits are combined before they go into the barrel, so the flavours marry throughout maturation rather than only afterwards.
The nose is soft, with almond nuttiness, a hint of peppery rye and light sweetness. The palate is spicy and zesty, moving to oak, vanilla and creaminess. The finish is clean and dry, with gentle oak tannins.
