Canadian Club Reserve 9 Year is a barrel-blended Canadian whisky aged for nine years in American oak and bottled at 40% ABV in a 1.75-litre bottle. It comes from the Hiram Walker & Sons distillery in Walkerville, now part of Windsor, Ontario.
The mash bill combines corn, rye, malted rye and barley. Each grain is distilled and matured separately in used American white oak barrels, and the master blender combines them afterwards.
Toffee, toasted oak and vanilla lead the nose. The palate brings English toffee, mellow oak, nutmeg and clove. The finish is warm and dry, with caramel and vanilla.
