J.P. Wiser's Deluxe is a blended Canadian whisky from the Hiram Walker & Sons distillery in Windsor, Ontario, bottled at 40% ABV in a 1.75 litre bottle. It blends double-column distilled corn and rye whiskies aged between five and nine years.
Since the 1980s, maturation has taken place in warehouses at Pike Creek in Lakeshore, close to Lake Erie. It has won Gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the World Whiskies Awards.
The nose offers dried fruit, warm caramel, vanilla and a little oak. Caramel and vanilla lead the palate, followed by toasted grain, toffee and a mild rye spiciness. The finish is smooth, with oak and soft toffee.
