This is a 10 year old Caol Ila from Islay, bottled by Cadenhead's for its Original Collection in 2022. It is presented at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured entirely in first-fill bourbon casks.
The nose is fresh and maritime, with smoke, citrus zest, wet stone and a little vanilla. On the palate there is salty smoke with lemon, apple, soft sweetness and light oak. The finish is medium to long, with ash, citrus and a dry, mineral note.
