This Islay single malt from Caol Ila was distilled in June 2014 and bottled in 2025 at eleven years old. It comes from Murray McDavid's Mystical Malt Creatures series, and 290 bottles were filled from a single cask.
The whole maturation took place in a first fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead. It is bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose combines peat smoke with dried fruit and cocoa. The palate is oily, with dark chocolate, spicy sherry and a salty edge, and the finish is long, dry and spicy with a lingering note of the sea.
