Caol Ila – 13 Year Old 2007 The Golden Cask (70cl, 57.3%)

This is a 13 year old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled in the Golden Cask range at 57.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in December 2007, matured in a single Bourbon cask and bottled in March 2021, yielding 263 bottles. It is not chill filtered; a coarse filter removes cask debris while keeping flavour and texture. The nose is peaty, smoky and medicinal. The palate is dry and smoky, well balanced and rounded, and the finish is long and satisfying.
