A 13-year-old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of its Discovery Range at 43% ABV. Within the range it is placed in the Smoky group and comes in a grey and silver cylindrical pack.
The nose sets apricot jam against honey-glazed ham, carried on a light maritime peat smoke. On the palate there is pineapple, kiwi and banana, with malty spice and a hint of lemon cake. The long finish recalls a dying campfire, with toasted marshmallow lingering on the palate.
